hi guys,
I graduated in DEC 2011, I had been out of status and got reinstated on Feb 15th, I had to join classes this semester since i was out of status while the semester started. I am taking 13 credits right now. I want to apply for OPT and have a job offer as well. Is it possible to get OPT at this point? I talked to my international advisor and was told that it is possible to apply for OPT but i am not sure if she knows very detailed information regarding this matter. Please let me know if there is a possibility or should i just not apply for OPT and continue going to school.

Following info might be helpful:

- International Sudent office Advisor would definitely lead you to the correct destination.
- What was your Major/Degree(Bachelors'/Masters')?
- Without OPT/CPT/EAD/H1B you can't work. Thats for sure.
  1. CPT: Can you apply for a CPT via your college. Get more info from College/ Internation Student Office(ISO).
  2. OPT: Since you have an offer letter, ask your Internation Student Office(ISO) to apply for OPT.
  3. H1B: In the meanwhile ask your employer if thay are willing to apply for your H1B this April. ( If everything works out - Cross your finger)

NO. But you may apply for CPT since you are talking 13 hours. Ask to UCIS what they would say!
